Just around the corner
Three blocks down
Lives a Lego Man
No knees, perfect hair
Semicircles for his hands
He’s always smiling, smiling
But he can’t understand
He says I’m tired of my life being built for me
Backed into a corner
My life’s all angles
I want out
I want out
His friends call him a square
There’s nowhere left to turn
So Lego Man packs up his things
There’s nothing left to learn
He leaves city blocks behind him
He leaves the place to burn
He says I’m tired of my life being built for me
Backed into a corner
My life’s all angles
I want out
I want out
Disassembled
No one’s home
He says I’m tired of my life being built for me
He says I’m tired of my life being built for me
He says I’m tired of my life being built for me
He says I’m tired of my life being built for me
I want out

Switch On

We thought that they were merely toys
For entertaining girls and boys
Preparing for our destiny
To harness electricity
Science kits and chemistry
And rocket toy assembly
But then we found it truly fun
To operate from zeros and ones
Switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off
That’s what we do
Switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off
That’s what we do
I’m up, you’re down, I’m down, you’re up,
Switch on, switch off our feelings too
The humans of antiquity
Were focused on philosophy
But soon set sail across the sea
To make some new discoveries
The smartest men in history
They found it is no mystery
To breach the cranial cavity
And implant chips in you and me
Switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off
That’s what we do
Switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off
That’s what we do
I’m up, you’re down, I’m down, you’re up,
Switch on, switch off our feelings too
Humans become robots
Cyborgs through and through
Switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off
We’re coming after you
Switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off
That’s what we do
Switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off, switch on, switch off
That’s what we do
I’m up, you’re down, I’m down, you’re up,
Switch on, switch off our feelings too

Good Hands
03:10
|

You're sending me on an expedition to see what I can see
Look, I would rather just do nothing
And talk philosophically
But I'm supposed to do something more
Well OK, but what for?
Tried to chase a vision
But it was just a dead end
Now you want me to try, try try again
To see what I can see for you?
I don't see what I see for just anybody
How will I trust you?
If I give you my vision on demand
I hope you understand
How vulnerable I am
When my sight is your command
I just pray my eyes are in good hands
I just pray my eyes are in good hands
Eyeglasses are spy glasses
And my ass is in trouble
Getting intel for the
Collective consciousness
And seeing double
Sorry if you’d hoped for better news
I can't lie when I show my honest views
If I give you my vision on demand
I hope you understand
How vulnerable I am
When my sight is your command
I just pray my eyes are in good hands
I just pray my eyes are in good hands

One Note Melody
03:33
|
|||
I’ll sing a one-note melody, it goes like this
No fourth or fifth or minor fall or major lift
Something that will soothe and put your mind adrift
I’ll sing a one-note melody
I’ve got a one-note melody, a lovely drone
For you to meditate together or all alone
Slipping out of consciousness we all go home
And sing a one-note melody
I hear a one-note melody, it sounds like this
It sounds like one hand clapping in a swirling mist
It sounds like sound that makes no sound as you consider this
To sing a one-note melody, here’s a solo now
I add a one-note melody to one-note melody
That’s not a contradiction, it’s called harmony
All things in the universe have their own key
And sing their one-note melody
There is no reason and there is no rhyme
There is no place and there is no time
No future and no past, it’s all eternity
It’s all a one-note melody
